smal house with overhanging upper storey.
This was an attempt to see how hard it would be to make buildings for a village high street, with overhanging upper storeys. It is a small house, which in the 40's might also have the status of a private hotel. The owners would let the bedrooms and sleep at a neighbour's, or in a caravan in the gard...

Re: Saving Models with embedded Gifs
Et voila - there's the magic wand!! Duh! In my defence, I am awaiting a cataract operation, but I hadn't realised those were down arrows. You've just shown me how to find loads more tools and functions. Thank you. I've also learned I can save transparent images in the PNG format, so they can be reca...

Re: Saving Models with embedded Gifs
Hooray, its tiny, but it IS there... Nope, I don't have a Magic Wand tool. The Erase Background does what is says, but it seems that even as a GIF, the image is merged into one layer. If I save it as a PSP image it appears to save with layers intact, and can be recalled into PSP still with transpare...

Re: Saving Models with embedded Gifs
Hi Shelly,
Magic Wand? Is this jaron, or the actual name of a tool, please? I attach a screen print of my PSP sceen, and I don't seem to have any such tool. (hopefully, I've got the syntax right, this time...

Re: Saving Models with embedded Gifs
Having got around to reading these postings, I am wondering if this is pointing to the solution to a problem I have been havinbg. I have loaded photos with transparent backgrounds and used them quite happily - blissful ignorance! I'm using Paint Shop Pro X, and it has a tool called background eraser...

Re: 1/400 Thatched cottage
Thanks for the help in uploading the photos. I've been a railway modeller, on and off, for years, mostly in N and Z scales. Lately, I've got interested in Tim Dillon's 1/900 scale, and I have a friend, Leo Berger, in Austria who is producing cast models in N, Z and 1/1250scales. I have one of his 1/...

Re: uploading to photogallery
Hi Shelly,
What I obviously didn't spot was the file size for my tiny building is too large! How do I reduce pixel content or image size in Model Builder, please, as there seems to be no point in uploading anything but am Mb4 file?
Thank you.
