Horizontal and vertical lines appear when previewing and printing bricks that painted in a larger area than sample. For instance the background building sample has two vertical white line about the width of a brick and four horizontal lines the height of a brick. In the stone at the bottom there are three vertical lines. I have tried various setting to no avail. This does not happen with siding material, windows .... Is there a solution?

Over the last year I had 2 customers report a similar problem. I have never been able to duplicate this myself and not sure what causes it but there are a few things that you could try.

1) Go to "Print Settings" under the File drop-down menu. Choose the Alternate Printer Routine and select "Save", then try printing.

2) If option 1 does not help, and you are running XP, Some XP computers are not up to date with Microsoft fixes and need a utility that helps with printing. This microsoft update is available from Microsoft at the following link: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en

Tried all you suggested. Tried different printer. The computer has netframework 2.0 sp1, 3.0sp 1 and 3.5. The link in the post tries to install netframework 2.0, The installation fails. I have a Vista Laptop which prints and previews. My out is working on building in XP and printing with laptop.

Any more suggestions.

I guess using your Vista is one solution.
The unfortunate thing about Microsoft XP service pack 2 is that it can sometimes not work in all aspects. The .net framework being one of those. Once your computer seems to have the framework, it is pretty hard to re-download and install over it. Fortunately this happens on very few computers. If you want to try to repair your .net framework, there are resources on the Microsoft knowledge base you can try.
