I am new user, and I am just playing around with the program trying all functions, I seem to have trouble with the aspect ratio function on the main screen. It worked the first time that I tried it , but now it doesn't function,I can still change the setting by using File/Program settings. I have rebooted program and turned the setting on and off several times but still no success. Any ideas?

Maintain aspect ratio is meant for use with the Drawing Mode: Stretch. When you are stretching using the lower right hand "handle" the item will maintain aspect ratio.
When you are working with the Drawing Mode: Crop/Paint the aspect ratio option is normally grayed out.
We just tried clicking back and forth between materials and objects and clicking the stretch or crop/paint and back. We were able to get the aspect ratio grayed out when in the stretch mode. If this happens, the way to reset it seems to be to click back on crop/paint and then back onto stretch.
Since you mention you are new, have you looked at the new videos available in the "Tutorial" tab? We have some that can help you to become more familiar with things. Also feel free to download any of the buildings on the main screen, they are a quick way to get started too.
