Hi, I am unable to print any images from "The Advertiser" library or my own designs in color. Printing in color from "Model Builder" and "Brick Yard" is no problem.

I am using a HP Officjet 6500A printer.

Any suggestions?

Thanks and regards.

hi Johan
I am sorry to hear you are having a problem with printing. I have not heard of this issue before. I have an idea though. Model Builder has Advertiser and Brickyard accessible from the Plug Ins palette on the design screen. You can open and edit and print Advertiser signs from within Model Builder. And an added bonus, you can layer the advertising onto Model builder before printing, if you like.
Let me know how you make out!

Hi Dave,

Thanks for your prompt reply.

"The Advertiser" does not appear in the Plug Ins palette in "Model Builder". I have uninstalled "The Advertiser" and then reloaded it. It still does not appear in the Plug Ins palette and also still does not print in color.

I would like to try to print "The Advertiser" from "Model Builder" as a Plug In but you please need to guide me how to get "The Advertiser" in the Plug Ins palette.

If I need to re-install "Model Builder" as well please be advised that it was a downloaded copy.

Thanks and regards.

the advertiser plug in requires the proper functioning of your computer. It seems there is a problem with this.
In order to diagnose, what version of Windows are you running? and what version of Advertiser?? and what version of Model Builder? It might be an incompatibility.
Open both programs and go to Help>About to get the version numbers.

Hi Dave,

Thanks for your reply.

I am running Windows XP Version 5.1. Advertiser is Version 2.1.4 and Model Builder is Version 1.7.34.

Thanks and regards.

Hi Dave,

I have managed to "load" and access The Advertiser from the Plug Ins palette on the design screen (don't know what I did wrong! :? ) and the images print in color, however I can not edit text in the images or work on the colorable images. Is there a certain procedure to follow to enable edit?

I have tried to print in color from The Advertiser proper but it still prints Black and White.

Thanks for your assistance.

Regards.

The version numbers you have are good.

The registry on your computer has problems. Maybe you installed and unistalled a lot of programs to that XP over the years. That could cause trouble with the registry.

I think for Advertiser to register correctly you could try uninstall and re-install, did you try that? Normally to edit an ad, you just double click it. I can check which resources specifically are needed for editing and let you know
